Sharvari Wagh recalls learning somersaults for YRF’s spy movie with Alia Bhatt: “I did not know Aditya Chopra was considering me for the film”

Bollywood actress Sharvari Wagh is currently basking in the success of her horror comedy release Munjya. And soon, she will kick off the shoot for her next project – YRF’s female-standalone spy project starring alongside Alia Bhatt. Last year, a video had gone viral of the actress performing somersaults in the same gym where Tiger Shroff works out. During the promotions of Munjya, the actress revealed what was her audition process like for the forthcoming action flick.

 In an interview with ETimes, Sharvari Wagh revealed, “I trained for about three to four months with Kuldeep, who also works with Tiger very closely at his gym. At that point, I did not know what I was training for but Adi (Aditya Chopra) sir wanted to see whether I could pick up an action body language because I had never done it before.”

 

She added, “In fact, Vedaa (with John Abraham) was also not on the cards at that time, this was a while back actually. So, we did not have anything to show Adi sir that okay this is the kind of action I can do and I didn't even know he was considering me for this (spy) film but he purely said that okay I want you to go and I want to see you learn a few things, send me videos and I want to see whether it's possible for you.”

 

Reports reveal that the actress is training in hand-to-hand combat art form for the film. Talking about it she said, “I think I'll not reveal too much about it but yes we are training for some exciting stuff. “

 

Helmed by Shiv Rawail, the film also stars Anil Kapoor. The project will go on floors in mid-July of this year.
