Shriyam Bhagnani opens up on her body transformation for Nagesh Kukunoor's City of Dreams Season 2

Actor Shriyam Bhagnani, who was previously worked in films like Baaghi 2 and Batti Gul Meter is now seen in Nagesh Kukunoor's City of Dreams opposite Ankur Rathee who is known for Thappad and Four more shots please! Shriyam plays a very strong and feisty character and initially, it was physically challenging for the actress because while preparing for her character she had to go through a physical transformation.

Talking about how she landed the role in the City of Dreams, Shriyam said, "I auditioned for Tanya Mehta with Shruti Mahajan ma’am’s team. We went through a few rounds of auditions and I was finally locked after a meeting with the director and the entire team".

 

Speaking about her transformation and preparing for the role, Shriyam said, Becoming Tanya Mehta initially was a little difficult because I was asked to put on weight for the character and I had literally just gone through a transformation. But I just trusted Nagesh sir and his vision of how Tanya would be and went along with whatever directions I received from his end and along the way I realized why Tanya had to look a certain way. Hopefully, the audience would see that too."

 

City of Dreams Season 2 also features actors Atul Kulkarni, Priya Bapat, Eijaz Khan, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Sushant Singh, and Ankur Rathee and is currently streaming on Hotstar + Disney's platform.
