Somy Ali DENIES allegations on Salman Khan after Reddit AMA, clarifies statements about Jiah Khan

Former actress and Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali, has responded to the controversy surrounding her recent Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) session, during which certain explosive statements were made regarding Sushant Singh Rajput's and Jiah Khan's deaths. In an Instagram post, Somy clarified her intentions behind the AMA and voiced disappointment over the shift in attention from her advocacy work to these contentious claims.

Somy Ali Sets Record Straight: "Focus Was on My NGO, Not Controversy"

Somy Ali's primary aim during her AMA was to promote her non-profit organization, No More Tears, which aids survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. She expressed frustration over how her initiative was overshadowed by sensationalized comments attributed to her, specifically concerning her past relationship with Salman Khan and comments related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

“I want to take a moment to address the recent controversy surrounding a Reddit session that has gone viral,” Somy Ali stated. “My purpose in participating in the session was solely to promote No More Tears, my NGO dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Unfortunately, some comments made in my name by Akshay Sharma, the Vice President of No More Tears, about Salman Khan and even Sushant Singh Rajput's death without my knowledge or approval, led to a wave of misinterpretations and distractions. Everyone knows I can't type so fast in a live session.”

Disappointment Over Shift in Focus

The former actress, who left Bollywood decades ago, expressed regret that the media spotlight drifted away from her organization's work, which she has passionately supported for over 17 years. She explained, “I have no interest in discussing individuals from my past or anything beyond the work we do at No More Tears. I agreed to the session to raise awareness of my NGO's mission, not to create controversy.”

Restricting Future Media Interactions

Somy Ali voiced her frustration at how media interviews often focus on her past relationships, particularly with Salman Khan, for the sake of higher TRPs. Reflecting on her future media involvement, she stated, “I am no more interested in giving zoom video interviews where they ask only about Salman to raise the TRP of their news shows. Moving forward, I will be limiting my media interactions to ensure the focus remains on No More Tears.”

After maintaining a quiet life for 14 years, Somy only began engaging with the media again three years ago to increase awareness about her work with No More Tears. Despite the personal trolling she encounters, she remains committed to her cause. “This exposure has helped build support for the organization, and I'm immensely grateful for those who have joined our mission,” she explained.

Somy’s Call to Action: Focus on Ending Abuse

Somy Ali concluded her message by urging people to join her fight against all forms of abuse. She referenced the late actor Rajesh Khanna’s words, quoting, “Zindagi bahut khoobsurat hai, jeene ka salika aana chahiye" (Life is very beautiful; one must know how to live it). Somy reiterated that her mission is centered on creating a world where everyone can live with dignity and respect, regardless of their background.

Alleged Statements on Sushant Singh Rajput and Jiah Khan

During her Reddit AMA, Somy allegedly made strong claims about some of Bollywood's darker controversies, sparking significant public interest. These included assertions that Sushant Singh Rajput did not die by suicide but was murdered, as well as statements suggesting that Jiah Khan was pregnant at the time of her death. Furthermore, she allegedly claimed that actor Suraj Pancholi consulted Salman Khan concerning Jiah’s death, and she made critical remarks about her former boyfriend, comparing him to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, saying Salman is “even worse.”
