Actor Sonakshi Sinha tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal in a civil marriage ceremony on Sunday, June 23, in Mumbai. Following the ceremony, the couple hosted a celebratory after-party for their close friends and family and reportedly hosted 1000 guests. Sonakshi opted for a classic red saree for this special occasion, shunning the traditional lehenga for a more personal touch.

The bride looked radiant in a red Banarasi saree boasting a rich golden border. The saree, designed by Raw Mango, was crafted from luxurious silk brocade fabric.  The intricate "chand buta" (crescent moon) motif added a touch of timeless beauty to the ensemble. The heavily weaved golden zari border further accentuated the saree's grandeur. This stunning six-yard wonder is available online for Rs. 79,800, making it a relatively option for brides seeking a designer look.

 

 

For the reception, Sonakshi complemented the saree with a perfectly matching red blouse. To complete her bridal look, she styled her hair in a sleek middle-parted bun adorned with delicate white flowers. A tiny red bindi, simple red glass bangles, and subtle lip colour added the finishing touches, keeping the focus on the exquisite saree.

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have been together for six years, as confirmed by the actress in her post on Sunday. Following their marriage, she wrote, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other's eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever.”

 

The wedding ceremony was intimate with the attendance of families of both bride and groom and close friends.
