T20 World Cup: Anushka Sharma exults in husband Virat Kohli’s performance; says, “I have just watched the best match of my life”

Today on the eve of the festival of lights, Diwali, India faced off arch rival Pakistan on the cricket field for the T20 World Cup. With the people of the nation glued to their screens cricketer Virat Kohli put up a sensational performance on the pitch taking team India to a resounding win. Back home, actress and film producer Anushka Sharma rejoiced in the win, praising Kohli for his impressing performance.

Taking to her Instagram handle Anushka shared an appreciation post for Virat along with images while watching the game saying, “You beauty!! You freaking beauty!! You have brought sooooo much joy in peoples lives tonight and that too on the eve of Diwali! You are a wonderful wonderful man my love. Your grit, determination and belief is mind boggling !! I have just watched the best match of my life I can say and although our daughter is too small to understand why her mother was dancing around and screaming wildly in the room, one day she will understand that her dad played his best innings that night which followed after a phase that was tough on him but he came out of it stronger and wiser than ever before! So proud of you !! Your strength is contagious ⭐️and you my love, are LIMITLESS!! Love you forever and through thick and thin ❤”

 

 

 

For the uninitiated, Virat Kohli whose form has been questionable for a while now, put up a resounding performance for the ages. Taking India to an epic four wicket win over Pakistan in a nail biting climax at the MCG amphitheatre amid 90,000 strong crowd, the cricketer put up a 82-run knock which left the opposition decimated.

 

As for Anushka Sharma, back on the film front the actress herself will be seen in a sports biopic based on the life of pacer Jhulan Goswami in Chakda Xpress. In fact, Anushka has been busy prepping for her role in the film with intense training session.
