BTS’ RM becomes first Korean soloist to land two albums in Top 30 of Billboard 200 as ‘Indigo’ debuts at No.15

South Korean juggernaut BTS’ leader RM has achieved a new milestone as his first full length album Indigo debuts at No.15 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, surpassing his own mark achieved by 2018’s mono.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, Indigo is now RM’s highest-charting solo album on the Billboard 200, beating out his 2018 playlist mono, which peaked at No. 26. With this new entry, RM has become the first Korean soloist in history ever to land two albums in the top 30 of the Billboard 200.

 

 

 

RM's title track ‘Wild Flower’ (with Youjeen) also entered the Hot 100 chart this week at No.83, marking the rapper's first official entry on the Billboard as a solo artist.

 

 

 

Indigo includes a total of 10 tracks with features from artists like Erykah Badu, Anderson .Paak, Tablo, Kim Sawol, Paul Blanco, Mahalia, Colde, and more. RM described his recent album as “a documentation of my youth in the moment of independent phase,” a “sun-bleached record faded like old jeans,” and “the last archive of my twenties.”
