Outcome: Keanu Reeves and Jonah Hill team up for new dark comedy at Apple

Keanu Reeves, who is riding on the success of John Wick: Chapter 4, is teaming up with Jonah Hill for a new dark comedy Outcome which was recently secured by Apple Original Films.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Outcome will star Reeves as Reef, a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.

 

Besides starring, Hill is attached to produce Outcome with Matt Dines along with the company’s Ali Goodwin. He will also direct and co-write the feature with Ezra Woods. Apple recently acquired Outcome which is a highly sought-after project that has faced a competitive market since November.

 

Hill and Apple Original Films are retaining after their partnership on a Grateful Dead biopic from Martin Scorsese’s Sikelia Productions. The project, which is being directed by Scorsese, is currently in development. Scorsese directs from a script by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, with Hill set to star and produce.

 

On the work front, Hill is best known for comedies like 21 and 22 Jump Street, Superbad, This is the End, and Get Him to the Greek, as well as dramas such as Moneyball and The Wolf of Wall Street.

 

Meanwhile, Reeves is presently basking in the success of his critically acclaimed action sequel John Wick: Chapter 4. Directed by Chad Stahelski and written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch, the action sequel is currently playing in theaters.
