Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Shawn Levy describe Deadpool & Wolverine as the crudest movie of Marvel; say, “My own kids have seen Deadpool and they came damaged”

With an extensive fan following, that majorly comprises of children, the movies coming from the house of Marvel and Disney have maintained their family-friendly image with their action-oriented but clean films. Adding Deadpool who is prude, crude, and all things abusive to the mix could be a risqué move for them. But Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy explained how they were quite persuasive in their approach and even got one of their most loved character Wolverine aka Hugh Jackman as a part of Deadpool & Wolverine which was just a cherry on the cake!

In a recent goofy and entertaining interview with Variety, the trio had some interesting quotes to make as Marvel and Disney, in a one-of-a-kind collab, brings forth one of their crudest and definitely R-rated movies to cinemas. Speaking about how Deadpool & Wolverine will be the first R-Rated movie for many Marvel fans, Ryan Reynolds said, “So many kids have seen Deadpool and Deadpool 2. My own kids have seen it. And they came damaged. But it’s never rated R just to be rated R. A lot of it is just the character. The character is very crass. His brain is like a half-eaten omelet inside the skull of a 7-year-old.” While Shawn Levy refrained from making a comment saying, “I don’t want to get into trouble for encouraging”, Hugh Jackman took a firm stand and added quirkily, “I’m going to be responsible here. Don’t bring a 2-year-old.”

 

Their funny banter continued as Levy chimed in and said, “OK, fine. We draw the line at 3,” whereas Reynolds took the joke ahead and continued, “Don’t bring a 114-year-old, because that person will not leave alive. Anyone in a diaper.”
