I loved the Irish pubs in the city and especially this one called Silk Route where we used to hang out almost every weekend. But my best eating experiences were at my sisters home as my brother-in-law is a gourmet cook. He would make the most delicious dishes and we all would enjoy a good hearty meal every once in a while.

This is a stunning stretch a little away from Melbourne. The road is flanked by the sea on one side and the jungles on the other. The trees must be around 1000 years old and you can spot really cute koala bears everywhere. The 12 apostles is another fantastic sight. We did small en route picnics, ate in really charming restaurants and went swimming on clean secluded beaches that are unique to The Great Ocean Road. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone who visits Australia.
