After 17 long years, the wait is finally over! The Indian cricket team, fondly known as the Men in Blue, scripted a historic victory on June 29th, 2024, by clinching the ICC T20 World Cup title. In a nail-biting final against South Africa, India emerged triumphant, sending a wave of euphoria across the nation. The victory, achieved after a grueling tournament, sparked jubilation across the country.  South Indian celebrities, renowned for their love for the game, erupted in joy and showered praises on the victorious team. Kamal Haasan took to Twitter to express his elation. Mahesh Babu shared his excitement on social media. Ram Charan posted a heartwarming message acknowledging the team's journey.

The victory signifies India's return to the pinnacle of T20 cricket. Their last World Cup win in this format came in 2007, making this triumph even sweeter. This win holds immense significance for a team that has consistently come close to glory in recent years, only to fall short at the final hurdle. While it was a night full of celebrations, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma announced their retirement from T20 international cricket formats. Along with them, it was the last tournament for Indian coach and former cricketer Rahul Dravid.
