After Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu may have dived deep into work for the dream project of S.S. Rajamouli, which is expected to be an epic saga. Despite the busy schedule, the Telugu superstar decided to catch up on the much-talked about Nag Ashwin directorial Kalki 2898 AD and after being thoroughly impressed not only by the filmmaker but also the cast like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, Mahesh decided to pen a review on social media.

It seems that the actor recently watched the sci-fi directorial and while it has been receiving a lot of appreciation from several industry insiders, Mahesh Babu too decided to join in the league. He took to the social media platform X, aka Twitter, to pen a note about the film wherein he wrote, “#Kalki2898AD… blew my mind away ?? ????Just wow!! Nag Ashwin, hats off to your futuristic vision. Every frame is a piece of art”.

 

 

Further, continuing the review in a series of tweets, the Telugu megastar not only appreciated the performances of the cast but also congratulated the team of producers. He continued in another tweet, “Amitabh Bachchan sir your towering screen presence is unmatched!! Kamal Haasan sir every character you portray is uniquely yours! Prabhas you have carried yet another magnum opus with ease. Deepika Padukone… amazing as always.” Mahesh also added, “Congratulations to Vyjayanthi Films and the entire team on the phenomenal success”

 

 

 

About Kalki 2898 AD

 

Inspired by Indian Mythology, the film depicts the post-apocalyptic dystopian era where people are awaiting the modern-day avatar of Lord Vishnu as Kalki to save them from dictatorship and torture. With Deepika Padukone as the subject Sumati, along with Prabhas essaying the character of Bounty Hunter in search of her, Amitabh Bachchan plays Ashwattama who will go to any extent to protect Sumathi from the totalitarian Supreme Yaskin aka Kamal Haasan. The film released in multiple languages on June 27.
