Keeping a film under wraps is a constant battle for filmmakers. Despite best efforts, leaks can sometimes disrupt the production process. Such is the case with the upcoming Telugu film, Devara: Part 1. A significant dialogue featuring Jr. NTR recently leaked online, prompting the makers to ramp up security measures on set.

“A crucial dialogue from the movie leaked recently,” revealed a source close to the production to Mid-Day publication. “This has prompted the team to significantly enhance security measures on set. Our top priority is to ensure the project's safety and confidentiality.”

 

The leak has led to stricter protocols being implemented to prevent further breaches. These include reducing the crew size – only essential personnel are now allowed on set. They also have introduced a no-phone policy on set, eliminating the possibility of filming or photographing sensitive scenes. And lastly, the filmed footage is encrypted before being sent to editing.

 

The source went on to add, “We are committed to delivering a cinematic experience that our audience can enjoy without any spoilers. The number of unit members on set has been reduced to the bare minimum, and the footage is encrypted and sent to editing.”

 

Devara: Part 1 marks the Telugu cinema debut of both Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. The film, directed and written by Koratala Siva, began production in April 2023. Set against a scenic forest backdrop, the story revolves around NTR playing a dual role - Devara and Vara. One of these characters is believed to be a student leader on a mission to dismantle the forest mafia.

 

Thankfully, filming for Devara: Part 1 is nearing completion. “Only a couple of songs and a small portion are left to be shot,” revealed the source.

 

Report suggests that a high-energy dance duet featuring Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor is scheduled to be filmed on a specially constructed set in Shamshabad on Tuesday, July 16. This song, choreographed by Sekhar Master, promises to be a highlight of the film. “Due to the recent leak, this song will be shot in a closed-door setup,” confirmed the source. “Additionally, a strict no-phone policy will be enforced on set during the filming days.”

 

With increased security measures in place and filming nearing completion, Devara: Part 1 is still on track for its scheduled release in October 2024.
