Malavika Mohanan recalls sitting for four-hour makeup sessions, shooting under the sun for 10 hours for Thangalaan: "Every day was a challenge"

While the actress is winning hearts with Thangalaan running successfully on the big screens, she will be further seen in The Raja Saab, Yudhra, Sardaar 2. Her performance has left everyone astonished. Now, taking the audience further into the thrilling world of her character in the film, the actress has shared a BTS video. While her dedication to perfecting her role is clearly visible in the video, she also expressed how she pushed herself physically, mentally, and emotionally for the role.

Malavika took to her social media and shared a BTS video of her character from Thangalaan. She further jotted down the caption, "She believes, she fights, she protects Welcome to Aarathi's world - behind the scenes I have never pushed my body physically, mentally, emotionally as much I did for Aarathi."

 

She further added, "From 4 hours of makeup and costumes(and endless touch ups) every day, to the most strenuous single shot stunt sequences, standing in the burning sun 10 hours a day, to riding a buffalo(or attempting more like because the poor thing got scared of the crowd surrounding it), to standing on a rock which was on fire, to emotionally isolating myself from the rest of the world to go deeper into her..not a single day of this journey was easy."

Thangalaan was released on August 15, on the occasion of Independence Day in Tamil. The film has been receiving good reviews from all across. Malavika as Aarathi has truly impressed everyone, as she played a significant role in the film. It will be released in Hindi on August 30.
