As Mohanlal’s Spadikam completes 25 years, the makers plan to re-release it after the coronavirus crisis

Mohanlal starrer cult classic Malayalam film Spadikam completed 25 years of release this year. To date, the film is still considered as one of the best commercial entertainers of Indian cinema.

Spadikam director Bhadran on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the film surprised movie fans with the first look poster of the film. The makers also announced that the film will be re-released in theatres post the coronavirus crisis.

 

Talking to a daily, Bhadran said that they are re-releasing the movie for the younger generation who might have watched the film on television or on the internet. He said that he wants them to enjoy the experience on the big screen. The film is getting ready for re-release with 4K Dolby Atmos such technology. The makers also invested Rs. 2 crores to improve the sound and video quality of the film.

 

Spadikam starring Mohanlal, Urvashi, Thillakan and George is the story of a conflict between a father who wants his son to follow his path and become a mathematician, but the son is not willing.
