Samantha Ruth Prabhu opens up about taking steroid shots for Myositis treatment; says, “It really, really messed up my skin, gave me a lot of pigmentation”

While enjoying her vacation in the United States, Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently engaged in an online interaction with her fans. During the session, she candidly responded to various queries about her upcoming projects. Notably, one fan inquired about the secret behind Samantha's seemingly flawless skin. In response, the actress humbly disclosed that her skin was not naturally perfect and that she was using a filter during the interaction.

A curious fan inquired, “How is your skin so clear?” To this, Samantha honestly revealed that she relies on Instagram filters to mask skin pigmentation caused by steroid shots, which were part of her treatment for Myositis. In her Instagram interaction, Samantha acknowledged her use of filters and explained the situation, saying, “It's actually absolutely not. Chinmayi Sripada is going to fix that, she's promised. She's going to make my skin glossy. Actually because of this issue, I had to be on so much of steroids, I actually had to do a lot of steroid shots so it really, really messed up my skin, gave me a lot of pigmentation. So no, this is a filter guys.”

 

As for the work front, Samantha will be soon seen in Citadel India. It will showcase her skills in high-energy action sequences, alongside Varun Dhawan, who plays the male lead. Apart from Citadel, Samantha was recently seen in film Kushi, where she was paired opposite Vijay Deverakonda. The Telugu movie released on September 1 and was also be available in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. The film featured a stellar cast including Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi, Ali, Rohini, Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Srikanth Iyengar, and Saranya.
