Known for his action roles, Akshay Kumar himself is well trained in martial arts. The actor recently expressed his concern over safety of women and even announced a training institute along with Aditya Thackeray.
However now, taking a step further, Akshay has requested the new Prime Minister Narendra Modi to introduce self-defence as a part of education. He has requested to include a four year self defence programme as a subject in schools. Akshay revealed that he has been working towards this for the past five years since he believes that every civilian should learn to fight for himself. He also revealed that Mr. Modi has assured him to look into the matter and will work towards it soon.
