Shaukeen, the 1980 Basu Chatterjee comic film about three old men lusting after a girl next-door, is all set to be remade by Rumi Jaffery. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play the character of Mithun Chakraborty. While the female lead originally played by Rati Agnihotri will be essayed by Nargis Fakhri.
Though in the original, Mithun's part was a small role, the remake will apparently change the part to fit in Akshay. Further reports suggest that Akshay has not charged his usual fee for this film as it is not a full length role, but he will have a stake in the film.
Akshay, Nargis in Shaukeen remakeWhile on the other hand, as reported earlier by Bollywood Hungama, the three older actor's roles have gone to Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Paresh Rawal.
