Those who had written off Akshaye Khanna are going to chew their words back. For, the actor has delivered a sterling performance in Venus' new flick HUMRAAZ, directed by Abbas-Mustan. The role has shades of grey (Abhishek Bachchan was supposed to do it initially!) and if producer Ratan Jain is to be believed, Khanna Jr. is sure to walk away with laurels once the movie releases. But more than Akshaye the actor, it is Akshaye the person that has impressed the easygoing Jain brothers of Venus. Before HUMRAAZ went on the floors, we were told negative things about Akshaye. That he is tantrum throwing, very difficult to deal with, not a producer's actor. But working with Akshaye was a wonderful experience altogether, Ratan Jain recalls, adding in the same vein, Besides being an amazing actor, he's a gem of a person in real life. Such generous statements coming from Ratan Jain are sure to boost Akshaye's prospects further within the film industry.
