The Mumbai police have now decided to probe the financial details of Bharat Shah. He has been summoned to the police headquarters today and will be quizzed by the Crime Branch on his dealings with Rizvi. Bharat Shah welcomed the decision of the police and said that they should not stop the release of the film since a lot of people including distributors and exhibitors had invested their money in the film. A top police official on the condition of anonymity said that they do not have any concrete evidence against Mr. Shah. The police had stopped the post production work of the film and had seized the negatives. Whether the film would release on 22nd December or not would be confirmed by today afternoon. Meanwhile the sessions court remanded producer Nazim Rizvi to police custody till December 27. On the other hand, Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. have denied their association with Nazim and said that all the allegations were false.
