Aamir Khan's nude image in the poster of PK that released a while back has been at the receiving end, with the actor and makers receiving flack for the apparent vulgar image. In fact a PIL (Public Interest Litigation) had been filed seeking a ban on the use of the said poster as promotional material. However, in a ruling the Supreme Court had rejected the petition.
Now we hear that social activist Hemant Patil has filed a civil suit against the makers of the film Vidhu Vinod Chopra, actor Aamir Khan, director Rajkumar Hirani and the Censor Board office bearers seeking a ban on the poster and release of PK. While the matter is likely to come up for hearing in a civil court on today, the said suit appeals for a permanent injunction from the court from releasing the film in India with a ban on publicity material featuring the nude picture of Aamir Khan until the objectionable scenes are removed.
Civil suit filed against makers of PKIn the suit the plaintiff alleges that the nude poster is vulgar and obscene and has the tendency to corrupt the minds of the people. Further stating that Aamir Khan's reputation for being known for a clean image has been tarnished by appearing nude in the poster for the sake of publicity.
Though a verdict on the same is awaited, PK that features Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt is slated for release later this year.
