The makers of the upcoming Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty starrer Cocktail are jumping with joy. The reason? The promo of the film has crossed 1 million views in just about 2.5 days on youtube.
Invites to the Cocktail party were sent via Facebook and promotions on Twitter, followed by the online launch of the first look of the movie on Sunday midnight. A source from the production house, said, "The idea is to create maximum buzz within the online community as their reaction is instantaneous. We wanted to give certain exclusivity online and have special plans for TV promotions as well."
Getting mammoth views on YouTube along with constant and quick interactions on Twitter and Facebook has made a huge buzz about Cocktail. 3 tweets led to 900 followers on the official twitter account of Cocktail. With the kind of response the promo has received, it has entered a space where not many movies have gone till now. It will be an example for all the many other movies.
Cocktail is written by Imtiaz Ali and directed by Homi Adajania.
