Punjabi singer Daler Singh Mehndi was deposed of 10 acres land at Sohna in Haryana on Thursday by a sub-divisional magistrate court. Apart from the seizure, the court has also served him a 15-day notice for seizing another 100 acres of his farm house.
This ruling comes based on the directions of the SDM court for alleged illegal occupation of the said land. The sized 10 acres of land has since been given to the Sohna town municipal committee in Gurgaon district near Delhi.
As per government sources, the singer had a farmhouse that was spread over 112 acres of land in Sohna. The SDM court's ruling comes post the Sohna municipal committee filing a plea before Sub-Divisional Magistrate Vivek Kalia for illegal construction on the committee's land.
