Actors Jackie Shroff and Raveena Tandon are being 'detoxicated' for their new roles in Shashi Ranjan's new film, tentatively titled CHALO EK BAAR PHIR SE. Shashi, who has produced SIYASAT [Kumar Gaurav], besides making a number of television shows, has decided to have a different approach towards film-making this time.
While you're reading this, Shashi has already started 'script reading sessions' with the two actors at his office. I told Jackie and Raveena to erase from their memory what they've learnt and performed over the years in terms of acting. I want to 'detoxicate' them before they start shooting for my film, Shashi states.
So, the two actors are visiting Shashi's office everyday, from 12 noon to 6 p.m., to study the script and get a feel of the roles they are about to perform.
In the meanwhile, Shashi has also signed Sanjay Dutt and Simran as the other lead pair. I hope to sit down with Sanju as well in days to come, he divulges. The first shooting schedule will begin from June 5 in Mumbai and Alibaug, followed by a marathon schedule in Mauritius. I hope to wrap the entire shooting by September-end, Shashi says. Anu Malik scores the music, while Javed Akhtar pens the lyrics.
