The film was supposed to hit the screens on October 20 [Diwali week], but has been shifted to November 24 because Aditya Chopra has decided that more time will be required for the post-production, a statement issued by Yash Raj to this writer states. In a telephonic conversation with this writer, Yash Rajs Sahdev Ghai added, Since the shooting of DHOOM 2 is still in progress at a foreign destination, it wouldnt make sense to hurry up on the release. Hence, the postponement.
