Having previously edited the Chandrachur-Shilpa Shetty starrer JUNOON, Shailesh Konchady is all set to try his hands at direction with JAZBAAT, slated to begin this January with a start-to-finish schedule in Mumbai and London. Starring a set of newcomers, JAZBAAT might see model Diwakar Pundir making his big screen debut [Diwakar's ready film with Mahesh Manjrekar shows no signs of release]. It is more of a murder mystery, dealing with the emotions of a married man falling for a shrewd woman who uses her body to get her work done. She is a kind of femme fatale who gets away with murder, says Konchady.
However, he denies that it is a woman-oriented subject. It is neither a man-dominated nor a female-oriented film. It is an entertaining film for the masses, he clarifies. Besides this, Konchady has also bagged a prestigious project which will be produced by a corporate house. It's a five heroine-one hero film, which is currently on the scripting table.
