I am currently talking with some actresses to enact the pivotal role of the daughter-in-law in BABUL. I wouldn't deny that I have approached Kajol for the role in question. But the modalities are still being worked upon.

BABUL will star the BAGHBAN team of Amit-ji [Bachchan], Hema-ji [Malini] and Salman Khan. Only these three names have been finalized so far. There are two more important characters in the film - one girl and one guy.

Have I approached Akshay Kumar for the role in question? Yes, I have. In fact, I've just started talking to him, but nothing is finalized yet.

I want to begin shooting in August/September this year. In fact, I'd only be glad to begin in August. But procuring the dates and matching them with the entire cast is going to be difficult. However, I hope to finalize everything in a few days from now.

This confirmation also puts to rest that Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji are also a part of the film!
