Two weeks ago, speculation was rife that Akshaye Khanna has replaced Abhishek Bachchan in Venus' new project, to be directed by Abbas-Mustan. Now the latest buzz is that Vivek Oberoi, son of Suresh Oberoi, has replaced Abhishek in Nikhil Advani's directorial debut, to be directed by Yash Johar. "That's not true," Suresh Oberoi sets the record straight, adding, "We are looking forward to working with Yash-ji and Karan, but they haven't approached us yet."
The father in Suresh Oberoi beams with pride when he talks of his son's entry in filmdom. "I had a tough time getting a foothold in the industry, but Vivek has signed some of the best projects even before a single film of his has hit the theatres. God is kind on us," he states.
Vivek's first film will be Ramgopal Varma's COMPANY, followed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra's next project.
