Irrfan Khan undergoes surgery, Jazbaa shoot postponed : Bollywood News

Sanjay Gupta's ambitious project Jazbaa which is also the comeback of former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has hit a roadblock. The reason being Irrfan Khan's ill health; the actor is on his way to recovery, owing to a minor surgery.

From what we hear, of late, Irrfan Khan has been complaining of chronic backache and had to undergo a minor surgery for the same. Moreover, along with the treatment, the doctor has even advised Irrfan Khan to take complete bed rest for a few days. Because of this, a script reading session of Jazbaa that was to be held on January 9 will now be taking place on January 13, so that Irrfan can be a part of it. However, according to filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, as far as the shooting of the film is concerned, it will commence only once Irrfan Khan is back in action since right now, Irrfan's health is the top priority. Though the filmmaker is yet to decide a date to start the film, he has clearly mentioned that a script reading session will be held on Tuesday along with the cast.

Along with Irrfan Khan, the lead cast of Jazbaa includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Siddhant Kapoor and Chandan Roy Sanyal among others. We also hear that John Abraham will be doing a cameo in the film.
