
Jacqueline Fernandez has always been fond of animals. From expressing her love for cats to fighting against horse drawn carriages, Jacqueline has always extended her support towards the well being of animals. And now, taking a step further in that direction, Jacqueline Fernandez has joined the Sri Lanka Wildlife Conservation Society.
In fact this time around, the actress wants to protect the elephants who live in the area. Talking about her new mission, Jacqueline Fernandez stated that she wants to educate the villagers and the general public about how important it is to conserve these elephants living in the wild. Though she mentioned that she is aware of the plight of the villagers who are merely trying to survive there, she stressed on the fact that it is important to make them aware that as humans, through years together, we have encroached the habitats of these animals.

However, the actress always takes time for fulfilling her passion for travelling as well as for working towards the welfare of animals. She is also one of the active participants in many campaigns of PETA.
