The producers of JURM [Bobby Deol, Lara Dutta, Gul Panag, Milind Soman] have thought of a novel strategy to promote the film. Continuing with the trend of incorporating the promos of a forthcoming film with a new release [SRK-Karan Johar's KAAL promos will be seen with Yashraj's VEER-ZAARA prints], the producers of JURM have tied up with the Overseas distributor of AITRAAZ to screen the promo of the film during the intermission. Yes, Manoj Seksaria [Overseas distributor of JURM] is in talks with Lala Damani [Overseas distributor of AITRAAZ], producer Ashish Singh confirms. But what's indeed novel is that the producers are also in talks with multiplexes in Mumbai and Gujarat to screen the promo of the film where VEER-ZAARA has been booked. With a clutter of promos on television channels, we decided to start the campaign with a theatrical promo, Ashish explains the strategy. JURM is slated for release on December 24 this year, but there's a possibility that the film may be shifted to January 2005.
