At least two film-makers have incorporated the incident pertaining to the hijack of an Indian Airlines aircraft to Kandahar in their films -- T.P. Aggarwal in BHARAT BHAGYA VIDHATA and Kuku Kohli in YEH DIL AASHIQANA. Aggarwal shot this particular scene in Ranikhet, whereas Kuku recreated the Kandahar episode in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Kuku Kohli is amongst the first producers who have decided to release his film in Afghanistan. Its true that I am releasing the film there. Its a positive development since it opens the doors of one more territory for us producers, Kuku reveals.
Preparations are underway to release the film in Afghanistan simultaneously with the Indian release.
