Kareena Kapoor will receive Smita Patil award : Bollywood News

Madhur Bhandarkar is getting geared up to start another hard-hitting film and he has approached Kareena Kapoor to play the central role. What's more, there's a strong possibility that Madhur may produce the film himself.

"It's true that Kareena liked the role immensely, but we haven't signed her for the project," the director of CHANDNI BAR and SATTA clarifies, "We still have to work out the dates and remuneration."

However, Madhur denies that the film in question is titled PAGE 3. "The film portrays the lifestyle of Page Three personalities, while the protagonist is a journalist," Madhur divulges, "But I haven't titled the film yet."

He elaborates, "There's no hero as such. We're thinking of casting a new face as the co-star. Also, the duration of the film will be less than 2 hours and it will be a songless film. I am aiming for the international festivals this time around."

Madhur also clarifies that he may or may not produce the film himself.
