All sorts of conjecture was made as to why Rishi Kapoor went missing from the trailer release of Karan Johar's Kapoor & Sons. It was even said that Rishi known to be punctual, "walked off in a huff" as the rest of the cast showed up almost an hour late. And that the minute Rishi saw Karan Johar he "whispered into Karan's ear and left quickly."
Rishi now confirms that he had to leave to be by his ailing mother's side in hospital.
Says Rishi, "I got a fright at the Kapoor & Sons trailer when my suddenly took very ill in the hospital."
Rishi's mother Mrs Krishna Raj Kapoor has been recuperating after a stroke in the hospital. Her recuperation process took a dip. But she is now stable.
