Really, you can't please everybody in life. Poor Aishwarya Rai is realising it faster than she imagined. Apparently, Mani Ratnam is pretty cut up with this beauty queen. No, it's not because she has become swollen headed with two hits. Nor is it because she has refused a film offer from him. It's not even got to do with the bonhomie she shares with Bollywood filmmakers. It's got to do with something very, very trivial. It seems a few months ago, when she was asked which directors she looked up to, in a very popular talk show on the television, she shot off a number of names. Mani apparently did not hear his name. Sure it was just a memory lapse. But Mani thinks otherwise. Weeks later when a journalist asked him to speak on Aishwarya, a stony silence was his reply. Grow up Mani, for Ash's sake.
