Prakash Jha trims Apaharan : Bollywood News

Bowing down to the request of his distributors and well-wishers [including this writer], Prakash Jha has trimmed approx. 8/9 minutes from his latest release APAHARAN. The excessive length [almost 3 hours] had resulted in the night shows getting affected almost everywhere, especially at places where winter has set in. I realized that the excessive length was affecting its business. Hence, I decided to remove a song and a sequence from the film, Jha informs me, That has helped the film since the second weekend at several screens has been rock-steady despite three new releases this Friday. Lets not forget that APAHARAN is a dark and grim film and it caters to the thinking audience and if it continues to perform well at several places, its a triumph of the cinema I believe in.
