Radhika Apte to star opposite Rajinikanth in a Tamil film

Radhika Apte, who in a very short span of time, has become a well-known face in Bollywood, is on cloud nine these days. And she knows that she has every reason to be there. After garnering critical acclaim from everyone alike for her performances in her recent films (including the short film Ahalya), Radhika has now been signed up opposite none other than the megastar Rajinikanth in a Tamil film.

An elated Radhika Apte stated that it will surely take time for the feeling to sink in. She added that, there is no bigger star than Rajinikanth and that she is really excited to meet him. She also added that, Pa. Ranjith (the director of the said film) is also exceptionally good.

Speaking about the film and her role, Radhika Apte mentioned that the subject is very different and she has a strong, meaty and a performance oriented role in the film. According to her, the film will tentatively go on floors by the end of August.
