Legendary actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor may be no more but he still holds an iconic place in the hearts of millions of lovers of Hindi cinema. In a bid to protect brand Raj Kapoor from being commercially exploited, RK Films and Studios has acquired IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) on the name and images of Raj Kapoor.
This effectively means that from now onwards anyone seeking to use any poster / image related to Raj Kapoor and his movies will have to seek legal permission as per the nomenclature personality rights of the Intellectual Property Act.
