Though he has some major Bollywood commitments coming up, Gen Y actor Ranveer Singh is all set to perform alongside global icons Coldplay during their concert on November 19 in Mumbai which is a part of the Global Citizen Festival.
Ranveer Singh to share stage with Coldplay during their concert in MumbaiThe charity fundraiser will have Ranveer Singh top lining the Indian performers at this year's Global Stage 2016 Mumbai festival which will mark the debut stage performance of global icons Coldplay. Also performing here will be hip hop superstar Jay Z. The actor will be performing on the medley of his chartbusters and will follow up on his recent popular stage act as the main Indian artist with Major Lazer with this performance. This six-hour concert will feature live musical performances, stars, dancing, PSAs and short films by eminent filmmakers. World leaders like UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and global influencers will speak here on this global initiative's advocacy against extreme poverty.
The Global Citizen Campaign, which brings a series of concerts around the world to address the issue of poverty, will open with a star-studded event in September in New York with Rihanna, Demi Lovato and others. The Global Stage comes to India for its first initiative with the much-anticipated event in Mumbai has world leaders and the Indian political leadership focusing on driving sustainable change through direct engagement with the youth.
