In Sudipto Chattopadhyay's next film Shobhana 7 Nights, Raveena Tandon is all set to play a role modeled on famous Indian author and socialite Shobhaa De. However, the film's makers insist that the only similarity between Raveena's character and Shobhaa De is that she is a beautiful and glamorous novelist, the rest of the premise is very different.
The film will also show Shobhaa De's long term professional relationship with the publisher of her novels David Davidhar of Penguin India. Anupam Kher has been cast to play the role based on publisher David Davidhar.
Raveena to play character based on Shobhaa DeIn the film, Raveena plays a married novelist who is in a relationship with a much younger boy, played by model-actor Amit Purohit. The film also stars Rohit Roy as Raveena's philandering husband.
Shobhana 7 Nights goes on floors next month.
