A while back the media was abuzz with rumours that Salman Khan had been approached for Karan Johar's production Shhuddhi. The rumours that surfaced after Hrithik Roshan opted out of the film have finally been confirmed.
It is learnt that Salman will be featured as the main lead in the film directed by Karan Malhotra. Earlier after Hrithik's exit from the film, reports stated that the said role had even been offered to Ranveer Singh and even Aamir Khan. KJo's ambitious film Shhuddhi that has been in the pipeline for a while now, is set to go on floor once Salman is done with his other projects. Confirming the development Karan Johar posted on twitter saying, "#SHHUDDHI will star SALMAN KHAN and will release Diwali 2016.....@shhuddhimovie".
Salman is currently busy promoting Kick that is slated to release this Eid. After this, he will be starring in Sooraj Barjatya's film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Kabir Khan's next, Boney Kapoor's No Entry Mein Entry, Aditya Chopra's Sultan and a film with Mahesh Manjrekar.
