While we all are aware that Saqib Saleem will be seen in Dishoom which stars Varun Dhawan and John Abraham, his role has been a mystery. And now it has been revealed that the actor will play the role of a cricketer.
Rumours also have it that the character played by Saqib is inspired by real life cricket hero Virat Kohli. Confirming that he is indeed playing the role of a cricketer, Saqib denies about his character's similarity to Kohli clarifying, "Virat Kohli is one of my favourite cricketers. So I have tried to imbibe the body language of a cricketer from him. However, there is no direct resemblance of my character to Virat." On the other hand, speculations had it that Saqib Saleem's role is a cameo. However, when quizzed the actor about his shoot schedule, Saqib revealed that he has shot for the film for over 20 days.
Though Saqib refused to divulge further details of his character, he did reveal that people will get to know more about his character of a cricketer when the trailer releases. Starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Akshaye Khanna, Dishoom is directed by Rohit Dhawan and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is slated to release on July 29.
