Readers may recall Shah Rukh Khan's 'tryst' with the BMC regarding the construction of an illegal ramp outside his bungalow 'Mannat'. The latest update on the same is that, an RTI query has stated that he has paid Rs 1.93 lakhs as penalty for the illegal ramp.
The RTI was done by one of the activists Anil Galgali, wherein he sought information from BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) asking them about the steps/ action taken regarding the illegal ramp. As a reply to his query, BMC's (Inspection) Assistant Engineer (Bandra H- West ward) answered that Shah Rukh Khan had issued a cheque of Rs. 1,93,784 on March 11 last year to close the issue.
