Bollywood and cricket have had a long standing relationship in India, the latest being the merger of the two thanks to the IPL (Indian Premiere League). Now in its fifth year, we hear that none other than Shah Rukh Khan who is the co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, has bagged the honour of organizing the opening ceremony.
SRK through his company will be hosting the celebration at Kolkata's Salt Lake Stadium on April 2. Interestingly, King Khan's team bagged the trophy last year after trouncing the Delhi Daredevils. As for the event, the celebrations are expected to include performances by Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
