Ritesh Batra's much acclaimed film The Lunchbox, which had been making news ever since it released, has added one more feather to its credit by being judged as the 'Best First Feature'at the 18th annual Toronto Film Critics Association (TFCA) awards. With this, it also became the sole Indian movie to win the said award.
TFCA, for starters, is an association which consists of journalists and broadcasters based in Toronto and are the ones who specialize in film criticism and commentary.
The TFCA awards will be hosted by Cameron Bailey (director of the Toronto International Film Festival) and it will be presented at a gala dinner on January 6.
The Lunchbox starred Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles.
