The recently release Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela featuring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh opened well across the country. With the Opening Weekend just coming in, we decided to take a look at the film's success.
In this edition of the Box Office Report Card, we compare the Opening Weekend collections of Ram-Leela with previous releases of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone as well as with other Top Opening Weekend grossers of 2013.
This one is officially Ranveer Singh's biggest hit till date with the Opening Weekend collection of Rs. 52.75 crores, as compared to his earlier films namely - Lootera which collected Rs. 19 crores, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl which collected Rs. 16.54 crores and Band Baaja Baaraat which was Rs. 5.20 crores.
As for Deepika, this film comes third, following Chennai Express Rs. 100.42 crores and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani Rs. 62.11 crores, while narrowly edging over Race 2 that collected Rs. 51.35 crores on its Opening Weekend.
When compared to the Top Opening Weekend grossers of 2013, Ram-Leela with its collection of Rs. 52.75 crores comes fourth following Chennai Express, Krrish 3 and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Note - Boss and Besharam had a five day weekend, Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara had a four day weekend. Chennai Express had a holiday release on Eid day with Thursday paid preview added to the collections.
