Mubarakan is continuing to collect over Rs. 3 crore on every passing day, though anything over Rs. 4 crore would have been far more suitable. That said, what has been done is done and now it is a matter of how far does the film proceed from this point on.
On Wednesday, the film collected Rs. 3 crore more and that has now extended the overall collections to Rs. 32.91 crore. In the process, it has already edged out the Week One numbers of Munna Michael [Rs. 31.62 crore] that was released just a week ago and had taken a better Day One opening [Rs. 6.65 crore]. Mubarakan started with Rs. 5.18 crore and then aided by a huge jump on Sunday has managed to edge past its last week's competition.
The Anees Bazmee film has now entered the list of Top-10 Week One of 2017 in just 6 days though it will fall well short of next film in line, Sachin - A Billion Dreams, which had collected Rs. 41.2 crore in its first week. There are still expectations though that in terms of lifetime total Mubarakan will be able to eventually catch up and manage to go past the Rs. 50 crore mark.
