The drama-thriller Lucknow Central released on Friday September 15. It is directed by debutant Ranjit Tiwari and stars Farhan Akhtar, Diana Penty, Deepak Dobriyal, Rajesh Sharma, Gippy Grewal and Ronit Roy. It looked similar to Qaidi Band, that released three weeks before Lucknow Central. Yet it managed to generate some buzz due to its star cast, theme and trailer.
