The Anil Kapoor – Arjun Kapoor starrer Mubarakan released last week on Friday. After opening on a slow note the film has been seeing growth in business each passing day.
In this special report we take a look at the opening weekend collections of Mubarakan while comparing the same to the film’s director Anees Bazmee’s previously released directorial ventures. Collecting Rs. 22.91 cr Mubarakan ranks as Bazmee’s third highest opening weekend grosser. While the collections of Mubarakan does not surpass the directors previous ventures like Welcome Back that collected Rs. 51 cr and Ready that collected Rs. 40.65 cr, it does out beat his other films like Thank You that collected Rs. 18.50 cr and No Problem that collected Rs. 16.50 cr.
Now all that remains to be seen is whether Mubarakan manages to sustain the current growth rate over the ensuing weekdays thus ensuing good opening week figures.
