The R. Balki directed film Pad Man released a week ago. Starring Akshay Kumar, Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte, the film took off to a good start with audience welcoming it with open arms. In fact, the positive reviews of the film also helped propel the overall business further. Now, at the end of its opening week in theatres, Pad Man ranks as Akshay Kumar’s 12th highest opening week grosser.

Collecting Rs. 62.87 cr in its first week, Pad Man claims the twelfth spot on the list follows by Akshay Kumar’s other releases like Gabbar Is Back that collected Rs. 59.86 cr, Entertainment that collected Rs. 56.50 cr, and Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara that collected Rs. 53 cr.
However, the opening week business of Pad Man does not manage to surpass the first week collections of Akshay Kumar’s other releases like Toliet - Ek Prem Katha that collected Rs. 96.05 cr, Rustom that collected Rs. 90.9 cr, Housefull 3 that collected Rs. 80.1 cr, Rowdy Rathore that collected Rs. 79.52 cr, Airlift that collected Rs. 78.5 cr, Jolly LLB 2 that collected Rs. 77.71 cr, Singh Is Bliing that collected Rs. 77.6 cr, Brothers that collected Rs. 72.6 cr, Holiday - A Soldier is Never Off Duty that collected Rs. 68.65 cr, Housefull 2 that collected Rs. 64 cr, and Baby that collected Rs. 63.82 cr.
However, with Pad Man still running in theatres, all that remains to be seen is whether the film manages to become of Akshay Kumar’s highest grossers till date.
