Parmanu - The Story of Pokhran is a success story. The film has its merits and hence it was pretty much on the cards that after a very good jump on Saturday and sustained numbers on Sunday, it will hold ground on Monday as well. Of course there is always a bit of a doubt till the actual numbers are out and hence one waited with bated breath to check how the footfalls turn out to be right till the night shows. As it turned out though, audiences gave a go ahead to the film for the weekdays as well and that reflects in the collections.
The film brought in Rs. 4.10 crore more and that is hardly a drop when compared to Friday numbers of Rs. 4.82 crore. One has to also consider the fact that ticket rates are lesser on weekdays when compared to the weekend and hence in real value the numbers are almost similar.
Standing at Rs. 24.88 crore, the film will now comfortably go past the Rs. 35 crore mark after the first week and that would help it step into a zone from where profits would start coming in. For a well-deserved film like this, it is always heartening to see good commercial success coming in as well.
As for John Abraham, this is his best sustaining film on Monday if one compares it with his last few solo starrers (Force 2, Rocky Handsome, Madras Cafe). He has come a long way to reach this point and the good thing about the success here is that it is for a prestigious outing like Parmanu - The Story of Pokhran.
